Pat Maloney

Pat Maloney has been with Tice Electric since 1996. He has worn many hats from Material Handler, Systems Manager and Controller. Pat has been the president of Tice Electric for the past 7 years. 

Ryan Landon

Vice-President

Ryan Landon started in the industry in 1988. He has taken on several roles during his time including, shop manager, material purchasing and Estimator/PM. For the past 10 years, he has been the owner of McCoy Electric.

Sonja Rheaume 

Treasurer

 

 

Sonja Rheaume started her electrical career in 1997.  After graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana she moved back to her hometown in Portland, Oregon to work full time at her family company, Oregon Electric Group (OEG).  Lewis Allison’s father, Sonja’s Great-Grandfather, founded OEG in 1947. Sonja learned all aspects of the business working her way up from Receptionist to Director of Operations. 

In 2007, Sonja moved to Christenson Electric, Inc. as Vice President of Operations. At Christenson, Sonja oversees the operating units. 

Sonja is actively involved in NECA locally in the Oregon Columbia Chapter and nationally as an Academy Fellow, a Future Leader Task Force Co-Chair, Electri Council Member, Electri Program Review Committee Chair, and serves on the Board of Trustees for Electri.  She is a former Chair for Women in NECA.

Tim Gauthier

Secretary

As the Secretary/Executive Manager of the Oregon-Columbia Chapter NECA, Mr. Gauthier has served on the Board since 1982 and working in other capacities with NECA since 1975.

Ken Dunn

 Director

Ken Dunn started in the industry in 1990 after four years in the Navy as an Electricians Mate. He started at Integrated Systems Group in 2001 as a General Foreman,  Project Manager, then became Director in 2004.

Mark Walter

Governor
Mark Walter started in the industry in 1987 as a project engineer. Since that time he has held many roles including Project Manager, Department Manager and  Director of Operations. He has been the President of Christenson Electric since 2004.

Nathan Philips

NECA Technical Advisor

Nathan Philips joined the Oregon NECA Chapters as a Technical Analyst in February of 2003 as he began transitioning out of the construction business after nearly 25 years as an electrical contractor.  During the legislative session, Nathan assists our lobbyists by reviewing proposed legislation, participating in consensus building work groups, and occasionally testifying before legislative committees.  Throughout the biennium, Nathan also represents NECA in the regulatory process through countless committee meetings at the Building Codes Division and other state agencies and serves as Chair of the Oregon Electrical and Elevator Board.  He is a member of our NECA Joint Legislative Committee, regularly attends meetings of the Oregon Columbia Chapter Code Committee, and is Governor of the Oregon Pacific Cascade Chapter.  Nathan welcomes your questions and phone calls and is available to assist you with any issues that arise involving the regulatory process, applications of the electrical code, or other business issues.

Barry Moreland

Safety Director
Journeyman Inside Wireman Born in Vancouver, Washington and raised in Ridgefield. After 2 years attending Clark College, Barry entered the electrical apprenticeship and graduated in 1998. He is a member of the National Safety Council and the National Fire Protection Association and also serves as chairman of the Oregon OSHA Construction Advisory Committee.

Timothy Gauthier

Executive Manager

Mr. Gauthier has served as Executive Manager of the Oregon-Columbia Chapter since 1982. Being previously employed in 1981 as assistant manager of the Chapter, Mr. Gauthier started his career with NECA in 1975 in Washington D.C at the National Headquarters. He was transferred to Chicago later that same year and in 1976 to Kansas City.

He is responsible for negotiating and achieving labor relations support for six separate labor agreements with IBEW Local 48. He co-chairs the Edison Pension Trust for Local 48 and the Cornell Pension Trust. Mr. Gauthier co-chairs the Harrison Electrical Workers Trust Fund and the NECA/IBEW Joint Apprenticeship Training Trust.   He is instrumental in government affairs and in 1990, he was appointed by the Governor of Oregon to serve on the Premium Equity Task Force for Workers' Compensation. He currently serves as President of the B.U.L.L. charity events and is on the Trustee Committee for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

In addition to his Chapter administrative responsibilities, Mr. Gauthier has been especially active and effective in the areas of education, government affairs, charitable fundraising and industry marketing. He has provided leadership and crafted innovative solutions that have been adopted as national models for success.

Kelli Thompson 

Office Manager

Kelli Thompson joined the NECA staff as the Office Manager in September 2016.  With over 11 years of Association experience in communications, government relations and fundraising, she has a wealth of knowledge in the association world. Besides managing the day-to-day operations of the office, Kelli provides information on various topics to our Chapter members.  From legislative updates to contract issues to labor bulletin information, Kelli keeps members current on topics that matter to them. 

In addition, Kelli organizes and plans special events and educational classes. Kelli is responsible for all member correspondence and serves as the assistant to the Executive Manager.

Michelle Powers 

Bookkeeper /Market Recovery/ Benefit Processing 

Originally from England, Michelle moved to Oregon 10 years ago. Her previous employer of 8 years was the Department of Justice. She has an accounting background. She spends her spare time with her golden retriever, “Sandy - the best dog in the world" who she takes kayaking and on as many hikes as possible.

She also loves dancing, taking dance lessons, watching movies, summer concerts in the park, and just loves the outdoors. She feels very lucky to be living in Oregon.

Micah Nowack 

Webmaster/IT Admin/Benefit Processing

Micah is the Chapter Webmaster and IT Administrator. With a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 25 years of experience, he is the perfect fit to keeping the Chapter's server and computers running smooth and happy.

He also assists in Benefit Processing, Market Recovery and publishes Labor Bulletins and The Oracle newsletter.
